This performance stemmed from the Mother and Daughter portraits created within the Family Portrait series. During this performance the daughter figure engages in a series of interpretative conversations and arguments with the womb (or pin cushion) of the mother figure. Through the repetitious action of removing thousands of pins and placing them within soil, the two make amends.
